June 30, 2026, we held our first annual Golf Scramble Fundraiser on June 27, 2026, at the Redwood Golf Course. It was considered a success and a great way to proudly celebrate America’s 250th birthday. The money collected will go toward preserving history and family stories for future generations. It was a perfect day to golf and 76 golfers participated. They made their way around 18 holes, rolling dice on hole #9 and #17. A competition for closest to the pin was on hole #6, and they finished at the turn with a putting contest. We held a 50/50, silent auction and the infamous Chloe & Rocky game made it a day to remember. Out of the 21 teams that signed up, 19 participated. First place of $200 went to Tom Short’s foursome, while second place at $100 was claimed by Steve Gardner’s quad. Third place of $60 went to Trevor Forester’s foursome. Colby Fox scored $50 and a new putter, Dylan Weller, for men, and LeAnn Feltman, for women, got “closest to the pin” for $25. Danate Spangnolo won $25 and a Bart’s Fruit Market gift card for naming the Chloe and Rocky’s dog breed, while Mason Soldan and RCGS split the 50/50 pot of $540. We did not slice a cake or blow out any candles, but everyone had a great American Birthday.

December 2, 2025, we will begin our fifth year in our present location. We have one more year on our lease and then we will once again be looking for a home. We have the opportunity to buy the building we are in and have a permanent place. The building rent is $1000.00 per month, and we pay our own utilities. Since we are only open 3 days a week, closed in December, and only one day January, February, and March, we have been able to maintain our existence as a society. To extend our lease after December 2, 2026, we would require $12,000.00 a year. A GoFundMe page has been established, and we are also on the PayPal non-profits donation list.
